The Problem

JobNimbus is a CRM designed specifically for professionals in the Home Exterior Renovation and Remodel Industry. The platform helps contractors efficiently manage their contacts, leads, jobs, and estimates, which are essential aspects of their work. Given the demanding nature of their job, it's crucial that JobNimbus provides an intuitive and user-friendly experience to ensure maximum productivity.

Automations can be a game-changer when it comes to managing statuses, activities, and tasks. By setting up automations, users can easily send emails, create calendar invites, and accomplish much more. Unfortunately, the UI for automations is outdated, complex, and difficult for new users to navigate.

Designing The New Automation Experience

To improve our process, we first identified its shortcomings. We conducted user testing, studied our NPS scores, and used applications such as UserVoice. Our findings revealed that users struggled to comprehend the existing automations, finding them overly complex and intimidating. Our solution was to make it clear, easy to understand, and conversational. This way, users would have a better understanding of what they were creating with automations, and the outcome of their creations.

By utilizing conditional logic, the automation window will present the user with relevant options based on their prior selections. This creates a seamless and interactive experience where the user can easily input their choices. This feature also enhances user understanding of the automation process and its intended outcome.
