About

The insurance industry faced numerous challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic as it heavily relied on in-person meetings and customer interactions. To address this issue, we developed the AR measure tool, which enables users to obtain precise measurements for insurance claims remotely. The tool has been designed to provide accurate and reliable measurements for everyday users, as the pandemic made it impossible for adjusters to visit people's homes. Our aim is to ensure that users receive high-quality and dependable service for their insurance claims during these unprecedented times.

Our team consisted of three developers, one project manager, and myself as the UX designer. To facilitate collaboration during the prototyping phase, we utilized Lucid Chart. However, we faced an issue with user confidence. We needed to ensure that users felt competent in their ability to use the tool accurately, particularly in the context of insurance. After careful consideration, we decided to implement a wizard-type tool for the first few uses of the app. If users had used it previously, they could opt to skip this step. This approach allowed users to build confidence in their ability to accurately measure and utilize the product.

I know you’re only here for the copy. It’s fine. I get it. I’ve been a professional writer for years and I’m quite good at it. You probably don’t care about my hobbies or what books I like or the time I got a Wordle in one. I know you’re only here for the copy. It’s fine.
